Q. What is MYUSAMAILBOX?
A. MYUSAMAILBOX gives you a real postal office address in the United States of America . By signing up, you will be granted a legitimate address within the U.S. , making you a "virtual resident". This address can receive packages and shipments and then forward them to your desired destination. Subscribers are from the Philippines who wish to receive mail and/or packages and have them forwarded to their home or office address in the Philippines .

Q. Why would I want to use MYUSAMAILBOX?
A. It's convenient and makes real E-commerce possible to all parts of the world. How many times have you tried shopping online only to find the phrase, "will ship only in the US ", or "US Address Only", or "No international shipment yet"? With MYUSAMAILBOX, such limitations are eliminated. Through your address, you become a virtual US resident. USA Vendors who ship only within the US can send the package to your US address. MYUSAMAILBOX will handle all the transactions to forward your package to you or anyone in the Philippines .

Q. How is this different from a P.O. Box?
A. Unlike a P.O. Box, MYUSAMAILBOX is a real address. Private couriers like UPS, FedEx, DHL and others cannot deliver to a P.O. Box. You can use the US address that MYUSAMAILBOX will provide you whenever you fill up shipping request form. Most vendors will deliver only to an official address and your US address provided by MYUSAMAILBOX is as good as any postal address in the US .

Q. Why should I trust MYUSAMAILBOX to handle my shipments?
A. MYUSAMAILBOX is a product of eLBC Direct, Inc. an LBC company. LBC is a leading courier, cargo and money remittance company and has been in existence for more than 50 years.

 

Q. How do I open an account? Is my information secure?
A. Visit MYUSAMAILBOX and fill out and submit the necessary forms. First, you will create an account name (your e-mail address) and password. Second, using your account name and password, you then enter into our SSL-secured server (Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption software which ensures to protect your information from hackers and third parties) and register all the information to create your Unique Personal US Address and Account number. You will be asked for personal details for recording purposes only (please refer to our Privacy Policy). We use a highly secure payment gateway to process you credit card, and we only include the last digits of your credit card in our correspondence.


We encourage you to keep your password confidential to secure access to your account.

 

Q. What is your policy regarding privacy?

A. We value your privacy and the confidentiality of the information you have trusted us with. Therefore, MYUSAMAILBOX will never sell your personal information without your knowledge and consent. The only circumstance in which we may share your information is when cooperating with the Unites States Government as required by law. Read our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions of Use.

 

Q. Can I start using the address you gave me when I sign up?

A. You may begin receiving mail and/or packages in your account however you will not have full access to the features in your account until you complete the signup process by sending us the two original forms 1583 and the copies of two identification documents.

Q. What is form 1583 and why do I have to fill it?

A. Form 1583 is required by the United States Postal Service for us to be able to act as your agent for the purpose of receiving mail and packages. Form 1583 is a legal requirement and we can’t waive it under any circumstance.

 

Q. Can I fax or e-mail form 1583? Why do I have to mail it?

A. The law also requires us to keep originals on file, thus we can’t accept a faxed or e-mailed copy. Form 1583 must contain the original signature and be stamped by a notary public. Two original copies of Form 1583 along with copies of two forms of identification will need to be submitted to us in order for us to activate all the features on the account. Acceptable forms of identification include: Passport, Government ID, Driver’s License, Recognized Corporate ID, Insurance Policies, etc.

 

Q. Why won’t you give me full access to my account until I send in Form 1583?

A. Unites States Postal Regulation require us to have that form before we open your account. Providing you with your USA address and some access to your account let’s you begin using some features of the service immediately. However, we can’t allow you full access (including  shipping) until you complete the process.

 

Q. I did not send my Form 1583 on time, will my account be automatically cancelled?

A. Yes. We will deactivate access to your online account and return mail to sender if we do not receive your form 1583 on time.

Q. Can a corporation have a MYUSAMAILBOX account?

A. Yes, a corporation can have a MYUSAMAILBOX account. Form 1583 and copy of two identifications must be submitted by a legal representative of the corporation.

 

Q. Can several people share the same MYUSAMAILBOX account?

A. No. The use of the Mailbox is limited to your account only.

 

Q. I have a relative or friend in the Philippines . Can I create an address for him so that I can send him some packages?
A. MYUSAMAILBOX will allow you to set-up an address for your relative or friend while you receive all the billing statements. That way, your relative or friend receives your gift without having to pay for any shipping costs!

Q. Which sites can I purchase from?
A. As long as the site can deliver to anywhere in the US , go ahead, shop and ship to your own personal USA Address!

Q.
Can I shop offline?
A. You can shop via mail order catalog (especially with 1-800, 1-888, 1-887 numbers) merchants, whichever you prefer. Just have it delivered to your MYUSAMAILBOX address and we'll handle the rest for you.

Q. Can I use my address for something besides buying online? Can friends abroad send me stuff through my virtual address?
A. You can order via an online (internet shopping) or offline (calling up catalog stores and real "brick & mortar" vendor) to ship your merchandise to your MYUSAMAILBOX address. You may order from the usual mail-order catalogue or even receive packages from your friends as long as you have them ship/deliver your packages to your MYUSAMAILBOX address and fill out the Shipping Request Form found in the MYUSAMAILBOX web page.

Q. What can I receive in my MYUSAMAILBOX Mailbox?

A. You may receive mail and packages delivered by the US Postal Service, and international couriers such as Fedex, DHL, and UPS. This means that you can shop online and use your MYUSAMAILBOX address as a mailing address.

 

Q. Will you accept Certified, Registered or COD mail on my behalf?

A. We do not accept these types of mail and/or packages on your behalf.


Q. Can I use my address for anything? No restrictions?

A. You may use your address for almost any licit activity. However if we receive information that indicates that your account MAY be being used for illicit or fraudulent purposes, we reserve the right to cancel your account automatically and return all items to senders. In addition to obvious fraud, other activities for which your account might be considered for cancellation include:

 

1) Using your address for e-mail spamming campaigns.

 

2) Using your address for "phishing" activities.

 

3) Using your account to ship illegal or hazardous materials.

 

4) Using your address to malicioulsy misrepresent your identity to authorities or to the public.

 

5) Any other activities that may be considered illegal, unethical, or mallicious by MYUSAMAILBOX.

 

Please note that we reserve the right to cooperate with authorities in combating fraud and identity theft. We will also honor all valid legal subpoenas.

 

Q. Can I ship anything? What are the prohibited items?

A. We will not ship prohibited items such as:

 

-Hazardous Materials                      

-Weapons and Ammunitions

-Fresh Food and other Perishables

-Plants and Fresh Flowers

-Beeds

-Coffee

-Frozen Items

-Combustible/Flammable Materials (paints, oils lighters)

-Drugs/Narcotics

-Collectibles/Antiques/Rare items worth more than $499

-Jewelry

 

Please ensure that any items you ship are allowed into the Philippines before you ship the item. MYUSAMAILBOX will not be responsible for items that are delayed, confiscated, or produce excessive duties due to customs regulations or customs difficulties.

 

You may also check the web sites of DHL, FEDEX, UPS and the USPS or check with the Philippines customs office.

 

Q. What about export controlled items?

A. The U.S. department of State may require special export license for products such as supercomputers, high end electronics with military application, etc. MYUSAMAILBOX does not obtain special export licenses and will not ship internationally anything that it knows may need a special export license.

 

Q. Can I ship as many items of the same kind as I want?

A. No. You cannot ship any items of the same kind in commercial quantities.  Quantity of the same kind greater than 12 is considered commercial quantity.

 

Q. Will you consolidate my items into one package to save me money?

A. One of the best features about our service is that we will consolidate your shipment based on the items listed in your Shipping Request Form whenever physically possible. This is guaranteed to save you money. In difference to other service providers, we will not charge anything for this service. If due to physical size, or other constraints, or if it is not economical justifiable to consolidate your shipment, we will immediately notify you and provide you the most economical options for your particular shipment.

 

Q. Will you repackage my items?

A. No. MYUSAMAILBOX does not allow repackaging for any shipment.

 

Q. For how long can I store my items in my account?

A. MYUSAMAILBOX does not allow storage of items. We will immediately ship the items listed in your Shipping Request Form. Mail or packages held in your mailbox will cause a storage fee.

Also, MYUSAMAILBOX reserves the right to liquidate all mailbox contents without prior notice to the address on record if excessive amounts of mail or packages are held in the Mailbox or if a particular item has been held in the Mailbox for an unreasonable amount of time. In both cases, the customer will be responsible for all fees and frees MYUSAMAILBOX from all liabilities.

 

Q. When does MYUSAMAILBOX charge my shipping costs?
A. We will provide you with a quote when you make a shipping request. You will only pay for shipments each time we ship the items you indicated in the Shipping Request Form.

Q. How much are the shipping rates

A. Rates are automatically computed using a rate calculator that can be found in our web site. Here are the components in computing for shipping rates:

  •   Mode of Shipping = Air or Sea Cargo
  • Freight Charges = Package Shipping Size an/or Weight + Destination

Fees are based on the actual shipping size and/or weight and destination of the package: This can be computed by using the Shipping Rate Calculator that can be found in our web site.

  • Insurance = Declared Value

The cost of the insurance depends on the declared value of the item. LBC will insure an item up to a maximum of $500.

  • Tax = Item

Cost of tax depends on the item.

  • Others – Other charges are applicable


Q. Why was I charged for a heavier weight? How do you determine weight? What is Dim Weight?

A. When a package is relatively large for its weight, carriers use Dimensional Weight (Dim Weight) to calculate the shipping rates.

 

Q. On a recent shipment, I noticed a charge labeled "Other". What does that charge cover?

A. On most cases this charge includes the fuel surcharge rate charged by our courier companies.

 

Q. Do I have to pay Customs Duties?
A. For your convenience, MYUSAMAILBOX partners will handle all of the customs procedures for free. You are however responsible for the payment of such duties which is included each time you have items shipped. So, make sure that you fully disclose the value of the packages that you will ship from the U.S. to the Philippines . This value could be retail price, wholesale price, or any other value you feel is reasonable. Please note that our responsibility is simply to put the value you indicate in the customs form. You are ultimately responsible for determining the value and MYUSAMAILBOX will not be responsible for any delays.

Q. If I receive a package that I don't want through my virtual address, do I still have to pay for it?
A. You will only be charged for packages that have your correct name and account number. As long as something is delivered to your virtual address correctly, we will forward to your desired destination as soon as we receive your shipping request.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?

A. We accept all major credit cards.

Q. Are there other modes of payment besides using a credit card?
A. None. Your package won't be sent until payment has been cleared. As such, we highly recommend that you use your credit card for maximum security and quick clearance.

Q. Do you require a deposit?

A. At signup you will be required to pay the setup fee using your credit card.

Q. Can I choose the mode of shipment for my packages?
A. All shipments are done via Air and/or Sea Freight.  MYUSAMAILBOX uses it’s own freight forwarding network. So, you do the shopping and we handle the paperwork.

Q. Are my shipments insured?
A. You have a choice of whether or not to insure your package. MYUSAMAILBOX will handle all the insurance details. Of course, standard fees will apply.


Q. How can MYUSAMAILBOX ensure the safety of my package?
A. MYUSAMAILBOX is directly responsible for your package as long as it is at your virtual address. Before it arrives, the vendor's carrier is responsible for your package. Once we ship it, the courier will have responsibility over your package. Also, MYUSAMAILBOX will open the package when it arrives from the vendor and we will re-seal and ship the package in its original packaging.

If the package looks OBVIOUSLY damaged upon delivery to your US address, we will not accept the package and inform you of non-receipt of the item you requested for shipping.

Also, Electronic items or appliances are shipped at owner’s risk.  We do not assume liability for damages incurred in shipping these items. 

Q. So who's responsible if my package gets lost?
A. Whoever has physical possession of your package at the time it was lost will be responsible.

Items purchased can be returned to the supplier for exchange or refund. This is however subject to the policies of the merchant from which the items were purchased.  

Please note that the cost of all returns to suppliers is the responsibility of the Member returning the item.

The Management of MYUSAMAILBOX would not incur the cost of returns to suppliers. Management would however seek out ways of returning items to suppliers that are cost effective to members. Of course we could exercise discretion on a case by case basis.

Q. How long would it take for my package to reach me?
A. Once your shipment arrives at your virtual address, we shall immediately process, prepare airway bills and invoices, and forward to your desired destination on the next shipping date (Monday every week). Air Freight usually takes 5-7 days while Sea Freight usually takes 25-30 working days from the time your shipment leaves the US Office. We will wait until all the items in your shipping list have arrived or are complete before we will ship your package. However, we will not wait for items in a separate Shipping Request Form.

Please note that expected times does not include any delays due to customs or unforseen situations.


Q. With what frequency will you ship the contents of my Mailbox to me?

A. We will ship the items included in your Request Form as soon as all the items have arrived. 

Q. Is it possible to track my shipments?
A. MYUSAMAILBOX keeps track of shipments when your virtual address has received your package and when it was sent out. We will provide you information and/or status via web site once we ship your package from your virtual address. That way, you can monitor your package through our tracking system.

Q. Do I need to confirm my shipments?
A. There is no need to confirm if your shipment has all the complete information (source, description of contents, value, correct US account number and Address), Your MYUSAMAILBOX address can receive any form of shipment as long as it is addressed to you.

To prevent unwanted delivery and costs, MYUSAMAILBOX makes it a point to confirm first from you before we do any cost-incurring shipping if any of the required information of the shipment is incomplete or lacking. At MYUSAMAILBOX, you pay only for what you ship.

Q. What are the countries that you ship to?

A. We ship only to the Philippines .

 

Q. Are your services available in the USA ? Do you ship inside the USA ?

A. No, we don’t ship within the USA . We only ship to the Philippines .

Q. How do I cancel my account?
A. You can email us at info@myUSAmailbox.com.ph. We will send you a reply email to confirm your cancellation request. After your email confirmation your account will then be officially cancelled; all packages henceforth received at this cancelled account shall be automatically liquidated.

Q. Where do you have offices?
